blendshapes 3ds max, possible??

Hey everybody,

in a not too distant future i plan to buy some programs for me and i'm searching for the right software for my purposes. I want to do character animations and at work were going to change the workflow from c4d to 3ds max. So it would be very easy to me to have the same progs at home, but i dont know much about 3dsmax.
Blendshapes as far as i know are a maya thing, especially for creating decent blendshapes from zbrush or mudbox for anatomical correct deformations. Are there similar functionalities in max? Or are there any plugins for that purpose in conjunction with preferable Zbrush? Or is that the thing, when you read the threads about what software is better, that alot of people say that 3dsmax is prefered in the games industry where bone rigging is more important and maya is prefered in the feature film industry because you have more options for hyper realistic animations of characters?
