I am trying to track a 3d object in my scene - and attach a simple object to it
Please watch this attached video -
The door in this video has a tracking marker attached to it.
(The shiny reflection on it is really going to screw up any tracker out there... so I suppose I would need to track the edge of the door)
What method would I use to track the 3d movement of the door so that I could attach a simple beveled nameplate onto it - which would be made in Maya.
It seems like all nuke tutorials either solve the camera for a 3d camera move - OR - tracking a object and applying a 2d track.
What I want to do is sort of imbetween those things.
I've never used matchmover - is a track of a 3d object like this best for match mover?
thanks for your help!!!
