I didn't want to spend a lot for a tablet with Wacom digitizer. I only really wanted something that can manage some work in ZBrush using a Wacom stylus on-screen, seeing as tablets, with or w/o Wacom pen, don't pack much GPU punch for other traditional 3D software.
So, I ended up getting an old Fujitsu laptop/tablet convertible. T4220. $200 in North America on places like Kijiji and Craigslist. If you don't mind that it's not the current ultraslim form factor of today's tablets, it will run ZBrush and you get to work on a 12 or 13" screen with a Wacom pen.
Without a doubt, though, look for their more powerful models. My T4220 is very poor in the GPU department even when new around 2007 or so. Even Intel HD integrated GPUs of today kick its ass badly (my T4220 will play 1080p videos full screen fine though and I use ZBrush and do Silo box modeling). Look for a step up to the T5010 for example. There's probably other better Fujitsu's too from several years ago in the same laptop/tablet convertible format with Wacom pen... for hardly any money. Also, the T4220 has an optional bay drive extra second battery (ebay) which will give you extended portable work time. The T5010 and others probably have the same extra battery option. They are built like brick shithouses. Quality.
Just thought I'd pass this along since I happened to mention these convertibles in another thread. Despite its low specs, it's a joy to work on-screen. You get used to its pretty pronounced lcd to glass parallax.
