Cry Engine 3 Getting Started

After learning what I wanted from UDk I want to move onto Cry Engine 3.

What's the current situations with this engine?

Can anyone download it, install and get started (like UDK)
or are there are lot more limits on it. Do they only release it to devs etc?

Is there a cracked version people are using?
Does the legal version have less features etc?

I will do some research on this now, just wanted to hear some of your views.

Installed it cant even move around the editor, WASD keys not seem to be having any impact :(
