Some geometry is coming up see through in my ray traced shadow maps in mR.
here is an example:
What is causing this? I am new to mental ray so I'm sure its something simple.
Here is a Screenshot of my light settings:
The funny thing is it looks fine in my viewport image, but when I go to render there are holes.
Let me know if you guys need more info on my end.
Regards
EDIT: Apparently I am too green to post the links to my screenshots, so I will try to explain the best I can. Basically say I render a teapot, I have the raytraced shadows around the pot looking fine against my backdrop. But where the geometry is thin, light is actually pertruding through it. As if there is nothing there at all. So on this particular render that I used as an example of the effect, light is shooting through the tip of the nozzle and also the top of the teapot.
It looks completely unnatural.
