Torrent not uploading back

Hey guys, i'd like to give back to the community after downloading but I'm having issues with uploading. No matter how long I keep seeding the torrent, it does not upload. Would anyone please let me know what the problem is? I'm using utorrent 3.3.1 with some preference changes I found on a youtube video to speed up utorrent. I do not want to mess up the setting lol because the default setting gives me a download speed of about 200kbps where as with the changes the speed is 900kbps or 1000+.
