Adobe CC AE and PP won't open .m2t

Seems the new CC versions won't open an m2t files. CS6 does just fine but not the CC version. Can't find anything on it or what's missing.

Anyone have any ideas? And yes I know how to convert the file. Looking to use them as they are like I have been in CS6.
