So I have three laptops, all running Windows 7 Premier or Ultimate.
I have a D-Link WRB-1310 router. I have three internet cables running from the laptops into the correct ports. Lights are all good. All the computers are on the same workgroup.
The thing is, I can't see any of the other computers, and they can't see me. Also, when I plug in the router, the internal wireless on the laptop dies. I don't want to use the router as an internet device, but as a means to route Vray on the main machine to its slaves. Basically, I want to use the router for the Vray slaves. Yet, I can't get any of the computers to see one another, much less get the Vray clients to communicate.
Any advice on any of this? I thought it would as simple as setting up the network and running the slave render clients.
